New Director for the Transparency & Accountability Initiative
T/AI is delighted to announce that Vanessa Herringshaw has been appointed as its new Director, based in London.
Vanessa joins T/AI after five years at the Revenue Watch Institute, most recently as Director of Advocacy and Director for Europe. Vanessa brings extensive experience advocating for change in government and donor policies around the extractive industries and a sophisticated understanding of transparency and accountability policy priorities. She also has years of practical experience building the capacity of governments, parliaments, civil society and media to improve accountability and governance. Her previous experience includes work with Save the Children and DFID, including living and working in South Asia.
She was educated at the University of Cambridge and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in the UK, and at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
